By placing an order with Sturley Studios, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them before purchasing.
1. About Sturley Studios
Sturley Studios is a one-person handmade jewellery studio based in Victoria, Australia. ABN: 93 787 482 399. For any questions, get in touch at sturley.jewels@gmail.com.
2. Placing an Order
By completing a purchase on this website, you are entering into a binding agreement with Sturley Studios under these terms. A contract is formed once payment has been successfully processed and you receive an order confirmation.
Sturley Studios reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order at its discretion — for example, in the case of a pricing error or if an item is no longer available. In such cases, a full refund will be issued promptly.
3. Handmade Nature of Products
Every Sturley Studios piece is made by hand in small batches from recycled silver. As a result:
- Variations in texture, finish, and form are natural and intentional — they are not faults
- Pieces may differ slightly from photographs on the website
- Recycled silver may carry minor inclusions or character marks inherent to the material
These qualities are part of what makes each piece unique. Purchasing from Sturley Studios means accepting and appreciating this handmade character.
4. Custom & Made-to-Order Pieces
Custom and made-to-order pieces are created specifically for you based on agreed specifications. By placing a custom order, you agree to the following:
- A non-refundable deposit may be required before work begins
- You are responsible for providing accurate sizing, specifications, and any other relevant details at the time of ordering
- Changes to a custom order may not be possible once work has begun
- If you become unresponsive for more than 30 days during an active commission, Sturley Studios reserves the right to cancel the order and retain any deposit paid
- Sturley Studios retains the right to photograph and share finished custom pieces for portfolio and promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing at the time of ordering
5. Pricing & Payment
- All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD)
- Sturley Studios is not registered for GST and prices do not include GST
- Sturley Studios reserves the right to update pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect orders already confirmed
- Accepted payment methods are listed at checkout
- Payment must be completed in full before an order is dispatched (or before work begins on a custom piece, subject to deposit terms)
6. Shipping & Delivery
All orders are shipped via Australia Post. By placing an order, you agree to the following:
- Sturley Studios' responsibility for your order ends once it has been dispatched and a tracking number has been issued
- Sturley Studios is not liable for delays, loss, or damage caused by Australia Post or any customs authority once the parcel has left the studio
- International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees charged by their country — these are not included in the purchase price and will not be covered by Sturley Studios
- Estimated delivery timeframes are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed
- If your parcel appears to be lost, please contact us at sturley.jewels@gmail.com and we'll do our best to assist you in lodging an inquiry with Australia Post.
7. Returns & Refunds
Sturley Studios complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Your rights under the ACL are not limited by these terms.
- If a product arrives damaged or is not as described, contact us at sturley.jewels@gmail.com within 14 days of receiving your order with your order number and supporting photos. We will offer a replacement or refund as appropriate
- Change of mind is not accepted as grounds for a return or refund on any ready-to-wear piece
- Custom and made-to-order pieces are non-refundable except in the case of a fault or failure to meet agreed specifications
- Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee under the ACL
8. Intellectual Property
All designs, photographs, and content on this website are the property of Sturley Studios. You may not reproduce, copy, sell, or use any designs or imagery without prior written permission.
Purchasing a piece does not transfer any intellectual property rights. Sturley Studios' designs remain the sole property of the maker.
9. Privacy
Sturley Studios collects only the personal information necessary to process and fulfil your order (name, address, email, and payment details). This information will not be sold or shared with third parties, except where required to fulfil your order (e.g. Australia Post) or comply with Australian law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sturley Studios' liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the value of the order in question. Sturley Studios is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Changes to These Terms
Sturley Studios reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes take effect from the date they are published on this website. Your continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
